D-BIT APAC Pty Ltd has been recognised by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for its significant contribution to the implementation of Payday Super, helping employers and the broader superannuation ecosystem prepare for the reform.
The recognition acknowledges the important role D-BIT APAC played in preparing the superannuation and employer reporting ecosystem for the introduction of Payday Super, including product development, system testing, client engagement and implementation support.
Payday Super represents a significant reform to Australia’s superannuation system, designed to ensure employees receive their superannuation contributions more regularly while making it easier to identify and address unpaid or late super.
In the lead-up to implementation, D-BIT APAC worked closely with clients and industry stakeholders to support the transition to the new reporting and contribution requirements. This included updating products and processes, undertaking extensive testing, participating in technical working groups and implementation forums, and providing practical guidance to employers navigating the changes.
The ATO specifically recognised D-BIT APAC's contribution across the Single Touch Payroll (STP) and SuperStream ecosystems, where significant system and process changes were required to support Payday Super.
D-BIT APAC also supports employers transitioning from the ATO's Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH), helping clients understand their options and take timely action ahead of the changes.
Throughout the implementation program, D-BIT APAC contributed to technical working groups, webinars, readiness discussions, implementation forums and direct industry engagement. These activities provided opportunities to identify issues early, contribute practical insights, clarify requirements and support a coordinated transition across the superannuation ecosystem.
A key focus for D-BIT APAC was translating the complexity of the reform into practical outcomes for employers. Through product enhancements, communications, support services and implementation guidance, the company helped its clients understand their new obligations and prepare their systems and processes for Payday Super.
The ATO's recognition comes as early implementation results indicate a positive transition across the superannuation ecosystem, supported by the collective efforts of digital service providers, clearing houses, gateways, superannuation funds, intermediaries and industry participants.
“We are proud to have been recognised by the ATO for the role our team played in supporting the implementation of Payday Super,” said CEO, Dylan De Szabo.
“Payday Super represents an important change for Australian employees and employers. Preparing for a reform of this scale requires close collaboration across the entire superannuation and employer reporting ecosystem. Our focus has been on ensuring our clients have the technology, information and support they need to make that transition as smoothly as possible.”
D-BIT APAC will continue working with the ATO, clients and industry stakeholders as Payday Super matures, with an ongoing focus on implementation, data quality, system performance and helping employers and funds meet their reporting and contribution obligations.
